Tim Melville:
Pitcher
Wentzville High School Missouri
Senior
10/9/89 D.O.B.
6’5”
205 lbs
Right-handed
Summary: One of the top arms in the high school class, Tim has a big projectable frame, which has plenty of room for growth. Already possessing above-average arm strength, he could add even more velocity in the future. He shows glimpses of a good knuckle-curve, similar to that of Mike Mussina, but will have to find more consistency with it, much like his changeup. He draws comparison to Phil Hughes of the Yankees when he was in High School and should find himself chosen in the first round much like Hughes.

2008 MLB Draft reports part 2: Tim MelvilleThanks Collegegrl on another blog entry. TIm Melville looks like a stud of a player. What is interesting is the age-old question of developing HS players in a MLB farm system versus college bred players.
